Patricia VanDerveer
Vice President, Research and Investments
Patsy is responsible for research on local property markets for Avanti's acquisitions as well as macroeconomic and demographic analysis of Avanti's targeted markets. She joined Avanti in 1995 and has over 30 years’ experience in real estate analysis and market feasibility studies.
Patsy has a Master's degree in city planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a BA from Hollins College.
Anne Kabourek
Director, Asset Management
Anne supervises land management, including maintenance and property tax administration. She coordinates with Avanti's counsel and senior management on closings of dispositions. Prior to joining Avanti in 1998, she was a planning analyst at the University of Michigan Medical Center.
Anne has an MBA from Oakland University and a BA from the University of Michigan.
Dawn Rosen
Vice President, Finance
Dawn has overseen Avanti’s financial functions, including financial analysis, reporting, control, and compliance, for over 20 years. She was previously the controller of a publishing firm.
Dawn has a Certified Management Accountant designation (currently known as Chartered Professional Accountant) from the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario and a BBA from Mount Saint Vincent University.
Laura Forbes
Financial Analyst
Laura joined Avanti in 2003 and is responsible for financial analysis and reporting. Prior to joining Avanti, she was a consultant working with various investment firms as project manager. She has been in the real estate business for over 15 years and was a senior manager responsible for financial operations for a subsidiary of Brookfield Asset Management, the property investment and real estate merchant banking firm.
Laura has a Certified Management Accountant designation (currently known as Chartered Professional Accountant) from the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario and a BMath from The University of Waterloo.
